Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra

Recent online speculation has hinted at the possibility of Samsung unveiling a new foldable device dubbed the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra. Now, we can confirm that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra is indeed on the horizon. Our team stumbled upon this upcoming foldable device within Samsung’s database, indicating its imminent release as part of the anticipated Fold 6 series launch.

Notably, Samsung has never introduced an “Ultra” model within the Fold series until now. Following the success of its “Ultra” smartphones, such as the Galaxy S20 series and the recent S24 Ultra, Samsung is poised to extend this branding to its foldable lineup with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra.

While specific details regarding the Z Fold 6 Ultra’s specifications remain undisclosed, there have been rumors circulating about the Z Fold 6. Speculation suggests it may boast a triple camera setup akin to its predecessors, including a 50MP f/1.8 primary camera with OIS, a 10MP 3x f/2.4 telephoto camera with OIS, and a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera. Furthermore, it’s anticipated that the Z Fold 6 will boast a sleeker and lighter design compared to previous iterations, potentially incorporating a dedicated slot for the S Pen stylus, similar to the S24 Ultra.

Our discovery within the Samsung database revealed the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra bearing the model number SM-F958N. This aligns with Samsung’s naming convention for “Ultra” phones, typically denoted by the last digit of the model number being 8. With all previously introduced Galaxy Folds featuring model numbers ending in “6,” the presence of SM-F958N suggests Samsung’s active development of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra.

While an exact launch date remains unknown, we anticipate Samsung to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra at its Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for July.

Exciting as it may be, it’s important to note that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra may likely be exclusive to the Korean market. This inference is drawn from the model number SM-F958N in our database, where the last letter typically signifies the regional market availability, with “N” reserved for Korea. Nevertheless, the standard Galaxy Z Fold 6 model, bearing the model number SM-F956N for the Korean market, is also expected to be available.

Should our database reveal a different model number indicating broader market availability, it could signal Samsung’s intention to release the device beyond Korea. However, based on current information, this seems unlikely.

In addition, Samsung is anticipated to introduce two distinct Fold models: the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra. Yet, the exact differentiating features between these two devices remain undisclosed. Nonetheless, we can confirm that the Z Fold 6 Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chipset.
