How to get 1000 followers on Pinterest FAST

Hi, I’m Anastasia, and in this blog, I’ll be sharing how to grow a new Pinterest account from zero to a thousand followers as fast as possible. Currently, my Pinterest account has over 91,000 followers and over 10 million monthly visitors which brings me almost 80,000 free monthly visitors from Pinterest. So, I have an established account, but in this blog, I’ll show you what I would do if I were to start from scratch today with a brand new account. I’ll cover what you should avoid doing on Pinterest at the end of this post if you don’t want your account suspended, so stay tuned.

Our first step is to optimize our Pinterest profile. Think about it: when people choose to follow you, most of the time they do it directly from our profile page, so give it a little extra effort. First, make sure you set a good profile photo and a banner profile.

Spend a few minutes writing an interesting short biography.

Also, don’t forget to optimize your profile for keywords. You want to pop up when someone searches Pinterest profile search keywords on Pinterest, you need to make sure your main keywords are in your profile name and your profile description.

Our second step is to verify our website and enable Rich Pin. So, you need to make sure that you have verified your domain name and that your Rich Pins are working properly on your website. Trust me, it’s important and it’s also pretty easy to do. All it takes is a small code that you need to add to the main section of your site. But here’s why it’s so important.

When someone shares your Pins or when your Pins pop up on Pinterest, you want them to see your smashing profile photo and your brand or your name right next to it. If you have a verified website and Rich Pins are working properly, your profile will not only appear next to every pin you publish, but also next to all the pins other users save from your website. Every time someone gets a chance to see your profile picture, what can they do? Sure, they can click that follow button. So, don’t skip this little extra step to add a link to your profile on all your pins.

Our third step is to engage in comments on Pinterest. One thing that content creators often completely overlook on Pinterest is commenting on their own pins. However, such engagement on your Pin is one of the important ranking factors. See, if you do a quick search on Pinterest for some keywords, you can open the top 5 or 10 pins and you’ll see that many of these pins have at least one or more comments. The most viral pins that have been ranked on Pinterest over the years, I’ve seen, have always had a lot of comments

So, all you need to do is spend five minutes, maybe less, every day checking the notifications section of your Pinterest profile. You can open these comments and reply to them, or better yet, ask something back, and users who commented on your pin will get notifications on their profile, and they can reply to you, and they can add more engagement to your pin. Think about it: When a user receives a reply from a Pinterest creator or blogger, they’re more likely to engage with your other content and follow your profile.

However, even if you don’t have any comments on your Pins, since your account is brand new and you don’t have a ton of followers yet, you can be proactive and comment on some of your Pins first, the audience for your query response, for example. Or, if you’re a food blogger or you’re in the DIY niche, you can ask them to reply with photos of what they’ve cooked based on your recipes or your DIY instructions. These photos also count as comments and are amazing as an engagement factor for your pin to go viral.

Our fourth step is to invite your followers from other platforms that you are present on. So, this is a great idea for those of you who already have some following on other platforms, and it will help you score your first thousand followers on Pinterest quickly. Reach people on your email list, your Instagram account, your Facebook followers, or your YouTube subscribers Encourage people to check out your profile on Pinterest as well.

You can do this in two different ways. A pretty passive one: leave a link to your Pinterest profile wherever you can, usually in the footer of your email or edit it as one of the links on your landing page, like the Linktree page from your Instagram account. You have this option on your About page here on YouTube.

The second way is more active and can get you bigger numbers and even faster. If you have an email list, send them an email saying, “Hey, I’m on Pinterest now too. That would be great if you could give me a follow there.” You can even spice things up a bit and offer some giveaways to your current audience, like copies of your digital product, for example. You could say something like, “I’ll randomly choose 5 lucky followers to receive a free copy of my ebook.”

So, people will have an extra reason to follow you. You can take advantage of your thank you pages if you have some lead magnets and freebies When someone signs up for your email, on the thank you page, you can suggest that they follow your Pinterest profile along with other social media profiles. The psychology behind this approach is pretty simple: if someone gets a freebie from you, they’ll be more than happy to follow you for more content.

Now, our fifth step is to use your website. This strategy works for you guys who have your own website. You need to make sure that you add links to your Pinterest profile in every possible way. I want to give you many ideas here, and you can choose what works best for you.

So, you can create a simple image like this that says, “Follow me on Pinterest,” and then add this image to your sidebar, maybe with other social media buttons, or in the sidebar, you can add it as a standalone Pinterest. Follow button. Also, you can add a link to Pinterest profile in your website footer or in your website header. You can add your main social media link in email signature like this.

Now, you may be wondering how much time and effort you should spend on growing your followers on Pinterest. Is increasing your number of followers on Pinterest really important? Well, if you’re starting from scratch, then yes, it matters to you because Pinterest decides whether your Pins are worth showing to a larger audience through recommendations in Pinterest’s feed or search results if your existing followers engage with your Pins.

If you don’t have any followers, or you have dozens of followers, Pinterest kind of doesn’t know how to rate your pins. There isn’t enough data for the algorithm, so it takes longer for your pin to start ranking compared to an established account. So, yes, you should invest some effort into growing your followers on Pinterest, especially if you’re starting from scratch, but remember that you should only grow your followers by adding people who are genuinely interested in the niche or topic of your Pin. .

Because if you attract some random people, it can lead to less engagement on your pins from followers and then, Pinterest will collect negative signals about your pins and distribute them less on the platform.

Also, you should always remember that Pinterest is a combination of a social media site and a visual search engine Your Pins can still be found in searches months and even years after you publish them, and the number of followers you have on Pinterest is not the main factor that determines how much traffic you get from this platform. And by the way, if you want to grow on Pinterest in different ways, not just by following numbers on your profile, but if you really want to get free traffic to your website, check out my free Pinterest Masterclass that has helped many people grow their traffic and online business. Get on target. It’s completely free, and you’ll find a link to it in the description below

And now we get to a very important section of this video: What you shouldn’t do on Pinterest to grow your followers And the first thing is the follow-unfollow technique. Mass following and then unfollowing those accounts like you might have done on some other platform, for example. I heard the trick worked on Instagram. It’s completely useless on Pinterest. People who try this on Pinterest usually get no results other than having their account suspended. But if you want to push the limit, just try following many accounts on Pinterest in one day, but I recommend you do it on a dummy account, and then see what happens. Apart from that, I can guarantee that you will not be impressed with the number of people who follow you on Pinterest. Following for the sake of following isn’t common practice, and you’ll rarely get enough followbacks to waste time doing a lot of following.

And the next thing you should not do is create idea pins. Last year, in a similar video about growing your following on Pinterest, I suggested creating Idea Pins. Well, the thing is, even if you can still create them in your account, this format of PINs is on its way out from this platform. Pinterest takes too long to roll out such updates to the entire user base Thanks for reading today’s post. Have a nice day.

Regards,

Anastasia

  2. You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be really something which I think I would never
understand. It seems too complex and very broad for me.
I am looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of
    it!
